Ausstellung Schlüsselwerke & Open Ateliers

Moving into a new home begins with a key; it opens doors, rooms and also represents the bridge to what was once closed. This key symbolises the end of one era and the beginning of another, with the opening of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund exhibition. Since 1989, the Prisma Gallery has been the venue for exhibition activities; from 2024 it will be SKB ARTES, the venue in the Deutschhaus of the Teutonic Order in Via Weggenstein in Bozen. To celebrate this new beginning, the SKB members themselves become hosts and present their personal key works. Key works' are keys to works and have an everlasting influence. The history of art in all its disciplines is full of examples of works like these, which are now etched into the collective memory. Edvard Munch's The Scream, Maurice Ravel's Boléro, Johann von Goethe's Faust or even Le Corbusier's church in Ronchamp occupy a prominent position and the list could go on and on from antiquity to the present day.
