This year the Museum Eccel Kreuzer is honouring the Val Gardena artist Adolf Vallazza with a solo exhibition entitled "Adolf Vallazza. One Hundred Years of Art".

This exhibition is dedicated to Adolf Vallazza (Ortisei, 1924). On display is a selection of the most important works from this artist's long creative career. The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the versatility and originality of Adolf Vallazza and to trace the decisive stages that have made him one of the most respected representatives of contemporary art in Italy. On view are works created between 1970 and 2014. This long period of time allows the viewer to observe the development of the artist from Val Gardena and his works over the decades. Adolf Vallazza has managed to distinguish himself from all other contemporary South Tyrolean artists. He managed to raise the art of woodcarving to a high, essential and existential, almost philosophical level and to locate his art in a new space between tradition and innovation. Curated by Sara Alberti.
