Die Filme der Berlinale Shorts schillern in allen Farben, setzen neue Wegmarkierungen in das weite Feld der cineastischen Möglichkeiten und reflektieren die Gegenwart mit den Mitteln der Filmkunst. Dirndlschuld durchleuchtet in Super-8-Aufnahmen die Narrative der Nazi-Vergangenheit innerhalb der eigenen Familie. Gezeichnet in zartem Schwarz-Weiss singt Kawauso ein Abschiedslied an den ausgestorbenen Fischotter. Ours stellt sich dem Male Gaze entgegen und Starfuckers ist ein Revenge-Movie der queeren Art.

I film della Berlinale Shorts brillano di tutti i colori, stabiliscono nuovi punti di riferimento nell'ampio campo delle possibilità cinematografiche e riflettono il presente con i mezzi dell'arte cinematografica. Dirndlschuld utilizza filmati in Super 8 per illuminare la narrazione del passato nazista all'interno della stessa famiglia. Disegnata in un delicato bianco e nero, Kawauso intona una canzone d'addio alla lontra estinta. Ours affronta Male Gaze e Starfuckers è un film di vendetta queer.

The films of the Berlinale Shorts shimmer in all colours, lay down new tracks in the wide field of cinematic possibilities and reflect the present with the means of cinematic expression. Dirndlschuld uses Super 8 footage to illuminate the narratives of the Nazi past within the own family. Drawn in delicate black and white, Kawauso sings a farewell song to the extinct otter. Ours confronts the male gaze and Starfuckers is a revenge movie of the queer kind.
